A viral TikTok commentary by a Nigerian sports analyst has drawn attention to the impressive performances of Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania in the recent AFCON qualifiers. The commentator highlighted three standout goals, each showcasing the rising skill level of East African football teams.

Uganda’s Rogers Mato delivered a spectacular long-distance goal in their match against South Africa, a strike that not only secured a crucial win but also showcased Mato’s precision and power. His shot from outside the box left the South African defense stunned, signaling Uganda's growing confidence on the field.

Tanzania’s Feisal Salum, known as Fei Toto, followed suit with a sensational goal in their game against Guinea. Striking from a similar long range, Fei Toto’s goal was a demonstration of Tanzania’s improved tactics and their ability to execute from distance.

Kenya also made waves, with John Avire’s brilliant free-kick against Namibia. His perfectly placed shot sailed over the defensive wall and into the top corner, earning widespread praise as one of the best goals in the qualifiers so far.

The commentator noted that these goals weren’t just lucky strikes; they were signs that East African teams have sharpened their skills, especially when it comes to long-distance precision. “These teams have clearly developed tactics that the rest of Africa should pay attention to,” he said.

As the AFCON qualifiers progress, Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya are proving that they can compete at a high level. With new strategies, East Africa is emerging as a football powerhouse.
