Beyond her beauty and business acumen, Natasha is a passionate advocate for autism awareness. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental condition characterized by challenges in social interaction, communication, and repetitive behaviors. Inspired by her younger brother Ethan, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of four, she launched the "Beauty with Brains" campaign. It aims at fostering acceptance and understanding for children with autism across Uganda. Natasha has been vocal about the misconceptions surrounding autism, including unfounded beliefs linking it to witchcraft or sacrifices for wealth. She emphasizes the importance of offering support rather than unsolicited opinions to families affected by autism.
In her advocacy journey, Natasha has collaborated with organizations like Kwanza Autism, a community dedicated to supporting caregivers of children diagnosed with autism. She has also worked with Open friends on the same cause of supporting children who are autistic
Natasha is also in the process of authoring a book detailing her experiences with her brother. She hopes to publish it before participating in the Miss World Pageant and aspires for it to be included in the Ugandan curriculum to educate even those in rural areas about autism. Her ultimate goal is to be remembered as a queen who advocated for children with special needs, leaving a legacy that resonates both in Uganda and worldwide.
Holding the Miss Uganda title has brought Natasha under public scrutiny, but it has also opened doors to numerous opportunities. Her dedication to autism awareness not only honors her brother Ethan but also paves the way for a more inclusive future for all children with special needs.
