The 67th Annual Grammy Awards, held on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, was a night filled with history-making moments, unexpected surprises, and global recognition. Since its inception in 1959, the Grammys have been a symbol of musical excellence, celebrating artists across various genres.

This year was highlighted by Beyoncé finally winning her first-ever Album of the Year award for Cowboy Carter, making her the most awarded artist in Grammy history. Kendrick Lamar also dominated, with Not Like Us securing five awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
Rising star Chappell Roan was named Best New Artist, while Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter took home major pop honors.

However, the night wasn’t without its awkward moments. Bianca Censori, Kanye West’s wife, made headlines with her nearly nude red carpet outfit, sparking conversations online and among attendees. This though did not last long before they both exited the venue and were later seen at an After party.

Uganda had its moment of pride when songwriters Rulz and Zigi Nana won a Grammy for their contributions to Matt B’s Alkebulan II ,which took home the Best Global Music Album award. Their achievement is a testament to Uganda’s growing influence on the global music stage, proving that African artists continue to shape the industry.
